The House That Jack Built

When Jack Rogers retired as chairman and CEO of renowned Florida architectural firm, Rogers, Lovelock & Fritiz (RLF), his colleagues, friends and family chose a more meaningful gesture, to raise money to sponsor a Habitat House in his name.

Affiliate President and Parkland International Realty’s owner/broker, Hal George, was part of this emotional and meaningful event. He announced feeling optimistic that “The House that Jack Built,” located at 865 English Court in Winter Park, Florida will be dedicated early in 2010.

What truly makes this home special is that it’s the first house that Habitat for Humanity builds that isn’t sponsored by a church, educational institution, philanthropic foundation or business. Instead, volunteers and employees from RLF, Trinity Preparatory School and Rollins College, hammered nails, cut wood, painted walls, landscaped grounds and more to get the house ready. “I could not be more proud to have my name attached to this house,” Jack said.
